Banana Bread

Shhhhh It’s a secret !

This is my secret recipe for the best ever banana bread! I think if I was to say to my friends what should I make then this little baby is right at the top of the list. It’s delicious! And might I add super easy!

You might think I am crazy having a banana recipe at the moment with the price of them. Yesterday they were 12.99 a kilo. Or I got a bag for $12 with 13 little (toddler sized) banana’s. I am the first to admit I can’t wait to have them back down around the $4 mark but to be honest it hasn’t stopped me buying them. I did a quick comparison and they worked out to be about 90 cents. To me that is roughly the same as a museli bar. And with two little people in the house Banana’s are a staple, easy and nutritious 🙂 Now please already send the prices down!!

Now back to the recipe !!

Ingredients –

2 Large Banana’s

60g Golden Syrup

80g Sugar

150g Self Raising Flour

1 Egg

Pinch Salt

Method –

  1.  Place Banana, Golden Syrup and Sugar into the tmx bowl. Blitz on speed 6 for 5 seconds
  2. Add Flour, Egg and Salt and mix for 10 seconds on speed 5. Scrape edges of the bowl and then mix for another 10 seconds speed 5.
  3. Pour into a baking paper lined, or greased loaf tin.
  4. Bake 180 degrees for 45 minutes. (Should be a nice golden colour and if you insert a knife it should come out clean)
  5. Serve warm with a scrape of nice fresh butter.

PS – I saved some for a picture of a slice with butter… Only Hubby got to it before I did! GONE 🙂 Next Time!

Enjoy!!
